Bhubaneswar: The Central Board of Education (CBSE) has hiked the fees for both general and SC/ST category students scheduled to appear their Class X and XII examination.
The board has mentioned the new fee structure in a letter to Principal/Head of all schools affiliated to CBSE for submission of List of Candidates (LOC) for Class X/XII Examination, 2020.
As per the new fee structure, the general category students have to pay Rs 1500 for five subjects, while SC/ST candidates of Government Schools of Delhi have to pay Rs 1200.
While fee for migration certificate is Rs 350 per candidate, visually impaired candidates are exempted from the examination fee.
Earlier the fees for SC/ST students were Rs 50 and general category students had to pay Rs 750. Besides, SC/ST students were earlier exempted from paying any extra fee for additional or optional subject while other students had to pay Rs 150. Now students of each category have to pay Rs 300 each.
The fee for practicals for Class XII too has been raised by Rs 70 per subject. Instead of Rs 80, now they will have to pay Rs 150 for each practical.
In the notification, the board has asked schools to charge students accordingly and also to take the additional money, if the registration has already been done.
In its efforts to streamline the process of conduct of examinations in a time-efficient manner by providing sufficient time for all activities in schools and in the Board, it has been decided to advance the process of submission of List of Candidates (LOC) for Regular Candidates of Class X/XII.
Accordingly, the process of submission of List of Candidates shall start from 02.08.2019 (Friday). Submission of LOC shall be done through e-Pariksha link-http://cbse.nic.in/newsite/reg2019.html.
