New Delhi: At a time when rot in top rung of the CBI is out in the public domain, a 3-day workshop by Art of Living foundation has been organised at the headquarters of the central investigation agency at New Delhi.
In absence of CBI Director Alok Verma and Special Director Rakesh Asthana, who are busy levelling corruption charges against each other, interim chief M Nageshwar Rao inaugurated the workshop which was attended by over 150 officers.
Reportedly, guides of Art of Living foundation will be training the officers to build synergy and positivity while the number 1 and number 2 officials of the premier agency have been at loggerheads since long over alleged interference by Verma in some cases.
The war in the country's premier investigating agency came to the fore after an FIR was lodged against Asthana and others on the statement of Hyderabad-based businessman Sathish Babu Sana.
On October 23, Verma and Asthana were divested of their powers and sent on leave. Three days later the Supreme Court told the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) to complete its inquiry against Verma in two weeks.
