Bhubaneswar: A viral video of an old lady singing 'Ek Pyar Ka Nagma Hai' at Ranaghat Railway Station in West Bengal has not only made her an internet sensation but earned her a chance to participate in a reality show in Mumbai.

Identified as Ranu Mondal, the elderly woman now looks completely unrecognizable after a makeover sponsored by the show executives. It all started with a video uploaded on a Facebook page called 'BarpetaTown The place of peace' on July 28.

Ranu's rendition of the Bollywood classic originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar has till date garnered over 41 lakh views. Her popularity has also earned her the title 'Lata of Ranaghat'.

As per sources, Ranu is from Bengal's Nadia district and had married to Bablu Mondal in Mumbai. It was after Bablu's death she returned to Ranaghat and earned her living by singing at the Railway Station. Meanwhile, offers are pouring in for Ranu from across India and even Bangladesh.
